The [[Dungannon Flagbearers]] can elect to attend and accept the children that do well in the graduation trials. The [[Dungannon Flagbearers|Flagbearer]]s are not required to attend, but will not get new recruits if they do not. The needs of the individual [[Dungannon Military Clans]] are assessed by the current [[Warrior Lord]]. The clans are placed in order of the assessed need, the clans in greater need are allowed to set their trial first. After their trial, they are allowed to select up to 1/X of the total number of children, (where X is the number of [[Dungannon Flagbearers|Flagbearer]]s present at the [[Dungannon Military Graduation]]). The [[Dungannon Military Children]] can elect to *graduate* into the [[Cambion Clan]] at any time, leaving the trials.
